Q. Do I need to become a Member to register for a course?
A. You may register into any of the public scheduled courses as a non-member. However, we would advise you to register as a Member, as you will receive a full 20% discount on every Academy course and event, not to mention exclusive access to industry events and information.
Q. Is the Membership a yearly fee?
A. Yes, the IP Academy fee is paid annually and can be renewed in 12 months time at your own discretion.
Q. Can I register and pay for Membership any other way than online?
A. No, we only make provision for online registration and payment.
Q. How do I pay for Membership?
A. The IP Academy uses the PayPal payment facility because it is internationally recognised and is a highly secure payment service for customers. PayPal allows you to pay for your Membership using all the major credit cards, securely.
Q. How long does Membership confirmation take?
A. Membership confirmation is performed as soon as you enter your payment details. This will usually take under 30 seconds to be performed.
Q. Can I receive a refund of my Membership fee?
A. No, your subscription fee covers the professional and administrative costs of processing and assessing your application. Irrespective of the outcome of your application, the application fee is not refundable.
Q. What certification will I receive?
A. On successful completion of the course, you will receive certification from the technology manufacturer (i.e. vendor certification). All of our schedule courses are recognised and endorsed by the manufacturer and acknowledged within their related industries.
Q. What if I don't pass the course exam?
A. At the end of each course students are required to complete a multi-choice question examination. If you're not able to correctly answer the questions on the final exam, you will be given the opportunity to review the course materials and try again, free of charge.
Q. Who conducts the training courses?
A. Our courses are taught by Vendor Certified Instructors. In most instances, the course Instructor is an engineers gainfully employed by the manufacturer; otherwise the Instructor is Vendor Certified for training. Each course outline has a Instructor profile displayed.

Q. How do I register for a training course?
A. It's easy - register online, by going to the Registration page.
Q. I registered but haven't received confirmation yet, what should I do?
A. You will receive confirmation within 2 business days of submitting registration and payment information. If you don't obtain confirmation within this time, please email our training coordinator.
Q. I can't attend the course I registered for. Can someone else attend in my place?
A. Yes they can, but you must let us know by email, no less than 2 days before the date of the course, and provide the name of the person who'll take your place. There's no substitution charge if you notify us 2-days prior to the date of the course. Please note, the substitute must meet the prerequisites as outlined in the course description.
Q. I can't attend the course I registered for. What's your cancellation policy?
A. If you need to cancel, you must notify us at least 10 business days before the first day of class. If you notify us less than 10 business days before class begins, you will not receive a refund for the course. See the Training Class Policy for further clarification. Q. What happens if The IP Academy cancels a course?
A. If a class is cancelled, we'll notify you 10 business days before the first day of training, and you'll receive priority registration for the next offering of the class. If you're concerned about a course's status, please contact us.
Q. Do you offer a discount for taking multiple courses?
A. Yes. If you attend two different courses in the same week, you're eligible for a discount.

Q. Do you offer onsite training for companies?
A. The IP Academy can provide any of our public scheduled courses at your premises. We offer this at USD$1500 per day, plus expenses. Please email us for more information.
